Meet Abby

Abby Smith OTD, OTR/L

Dance Teacher

Abby first started dancing at the age of 3 and continued the artistic sport all throughout high school. She danced at the collegiate level for Auburn University on the Tiger Paws Dance Team. In 2025, she graduated from Belmont University with her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. During her final semester, she interned at MOVE while she completed her doctoral capstone project and fell in love with the organization. She believes that there is a natural overlap between dance and occupational therapy, and that therapeutic use of movement enhances functional abilities and quality of life. She is thrilled to officially join the team at MOVE!
