Free community classes you’ll love

Life is way more fun with a little rhythm in it, don’t you think? That’s why we’re inviting you to join us for two of our favorite community happenings offered at MOVE, Latin Dance and Time 2 Groove Inclusive drumming. They’re high-energy, low-pressure, and totally free (yep, you read that right).

Whether you’re stepping into a salsa beat or drumming along with friends, these classes are the perfect excuse to get moving, laugh a lot, and connect with people in a space where everyone belongs.

Latin Dance:

Need a little midweek pick-me-up? Or maybe a reason to try something new with your family or friends? Our Latin Dance class is the answer! It’s all about having fun, shaking off the stress of your day, and getting in some sneaky-good exercise while learning classic moves like salsa, merengue, and bachata.

No experience? No problem. Whether you’re a total beginner or you’ve been twirling for years, this class is open to all ages and abilities. Our instructor keeps things light, fun, and easy to follow, so you can just show up, dance, and leave with a smile.

Because we like to keep things organized (and make sure our teacher is ready for the crowd), we do ask that you RSVP in advance.

Here’s when and where you can find us:

Bellevue Studio: Second Saturday of every month at 12:00pm
Franklin Studio: Every Thursday at 7:00pm

So come join the party! Every step is a chance to celebrate movement, music, and community.

Time 2 Groove Inclusive Drumming

If dancing isn’t your jam, maybe drumming is. (Or hey, why not try both?) Our partnership with Time 2 Groove is where rhythm and community come together.

It’s a unique experience that blends the evidence-based Rhythmic Arts Project (TRAP) curriculum with the healing traditions of Native American and West African drum circles. The result? A class that helps participants build focus, memory, social skills, and motor control… all while having a blast.

You don’t need any experience. You don’t even need to bring anything. All equipment is provided, including adaptive drum stands to make sure everyone can participate comfortably.

The class is led by professional percussionist and counselor Bobby Kent, along with his daughter Isabella, who bring both skill and heart to every session. Together, they create a welcoming circle where everyone can find their rhythm.

So, come ready to groove, let loose, and discover just how joyful (and powerful) rhythm can be.

Why we do this:

For us, these classes are more than just fun (though they are a great time if we do say so ourselves). They’re a gateway into the MOVE community. They are a way to meet new people, try something different, and experience what MOVE is all about.

They’re also one of the ways we work toward making the arts accessible to everyone. By offering free opportunities to dance, drum, and connect, we hope to break down barriers and remind people that movement and music truly are for all.

So, whether you’re stepping into a salsa rhythm or striking a beat on a drum, we’d love for you to join us. Bring your family, your friends, or just yourself, and let us take care of the rest.
